Welcome to the website of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, Las Vegas, Nevada. Our 10 acre campus is crowned by a beautiful Byzantine Church and magnificent Community and Education Center, and located in the Southwest area of “America’s Fastest Growing City.”
Our Lord says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14) While it may seem to many an anomaly to have a large and dynamic Orthodox Christian community in what the world identifies as “Sin City,” we see ourselves as a light shining in the darkness – not the flashy lights usually associated with Las Vegas, but the Light of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As you explore our website, we pray your heart and mind will be illumined by the truth and glory of our ancient Orthodox Christian Faith and inspired by the many ways we shine His Light in our community.

ADULT STUDY
Please join us as we continue exploring the book, "Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives." The 90 minute class meets each Wednesday at 7:00 pm (unless noted) in Kokkos Hall, and is taught by Father John. Open to all, whether Orthodox or not. Books available in our Orthodox Bookstore.

Lent begins Monday, February 27. Holy Week is April 8-14. Holy Pascha is Sunday, April 15. Please look to The Desert Messenger for the schedule of services.
